Brauhaus Kothen in Koethen

We had ordered food about 2 weeks ago and were really disappointed. The only tasty thing was the schnitzel (but let's be honest, even my grandmother knows schnitzel better). Steaks were tough ... really dry and weird. The fried potatoes tasted like they were prepackaged. Overall, the main course and all the side dishes were cooked / fried in the same intense seasoning and that's why everything tasted the same. The portions for the children were ridiculous and it couldn't be more lovable (yes, everything is a bit heavy in the days of styrofoam containers for delivery, but I didn't expect 5 nuggets and 10 french fries plus a foil pack of ketchup in a container for large portions .) and those were ready-made nuggets, as you can get them from discounter. So price-performance ratio doesn't fit anywhere and for us it was the last time we ate or ordered something there.

Ordered today. The delivery time was great ... service very nice and food was very tasty and plentiful. Highly Recommended.

20_10_28 I was here today at the Brauhaus Köthen, for dinner with a dear colleague on her 65th birthday. I had reserved the table by phone the day before. Food (Köthener Braumeisterpfanne) and beer were spotless. The waitress, with her postponed attitudes towards Corona, was infinitely annoying! Disaster, the woman. She should have become Chancellor, Minister of Health or at least a virologist at the RKI. None of the waiters wore mouth and nose protection (!!!), although the minimum distance of 1.5-2 m could not be maintained (e.g. on the stairs). Guests on the way to the toilet, tables with> = 6 guests, sitting close together, guests who shook hands and greeted colleagues who kissed goodbye made the hot spot perfect. It's good that such corona hot spots will be closed from next Monday. Myself, will quarantine myself for the next 5 days. Corona is not an issue at Brauhaus Köthen, which I found terrifying! The waitress was then angry when I asked her about her misconduct and the violations of the corona pandemic law of the state of Saxony-Anhalt. Why did I stay 2 hours when everything is so bad here ??? Naughty, right ??? This is not how you should face a paying guest. I was also shocked by their communist attitude that everyone should have the same income. Then why did I qualify and train myself over many years with a very small income ??? Today, as a young retiree who has worked responsibly for over 40 years, I am already looking forward to being financially secure in my old age. A head physician in trauma surgery should be paid 2-3 € more than a waitress who does her job and then leaves work carefree. After work, what is that ???

Went to the brewery yesterday, had imagined it better, the food was unfortunately not that good, had the impression it was frozen food (as if it was warmed up once), the staff somehow annoyed, I will definitely not visit the brewery again, and also not recommend it to anyone

The operation is on the ball. The prices are OK. Very decent regional cuisine. Stylish furnishings.

It was my first time here. The restaurant has already been recommended to me several times by friends and that's how we found our Saxon guests here. All employees were super nice and attentive across the board. The service was prompt. The dishes were also very tasty and well seasoned. One point is deducted, because with the "Chanterelles in room sauce with homemade dumplings" the dumplings were apparently only warmed up, and the edges were dried out and the chanterelles in cream sauce were not really warm. And another stir-fry came in a cold pan. It's probably just being served in the pan and not made hot. Otherwise we will definitely be back.

Very good, traditional cuisine. I also really like the indoor and outdoor ambience. I subtract a star for the following reasons: - 1-2 more vegetarian dishes would be nice in my opinion - Unfortunately, I don't like Jakobus (the "house beer") at all. That is of course a matter of taste - it would be nice if you could offer 1-2 other beers for guests. Otherwise, I can absolutely recommend the brewery, especially in summer thanks to the great beer garden.

Excellent restaurant and overnight stay! We regularly visit and spend the night in the brewery as part of family visits and can only give positive reviews.

Good quick service and friendly staff. You can drink three home-brewed beers here. Very tasty. The food is good. I liked that we got fairly large portions. I had no place for dessert anymore. The atmosphere in the restaurant is good. In the summer you can eat outside in the garden. If I know I am in Köthen, I will definitely eat here again. The price quality ratio is good.

Flawless, there is no other way of saying it. Friendly, pleasant service and all courses delicious. Given the glorious summer weather, it was not surprising that the beer garden was full, and yet we didn't have to wait long for anything. I'm looking forward to our next visit!
